King Bee Corian Whorl Ratio Map

First, lets label our whorls. On the head there are three whorls. Fast (smallest), Medium, and Slow (largest). I have labeled these H1, H2, and H3 respectively. On the bottom of the wheel are two whorls. The left bottom whorl (with the spoke engraving) has three speeds. The smallest speed I have labeled L1, the middle speed L2, and the large speed L3. L3, though being a large whorl, produces the fastest ratios. On the right bottom whorl there is another whorl with three speeds. I have labeled these speeds R1 (smallest), R2, and R3 (largest). In summary: H is for head. L is for left. R is for right. 1 is the smallest and 3 is the largest diameter whorl on each. On some ratios my drive band slipped, but this may have been due to it being stretched out. Make sure you give your drive band a rest before attempting the highest ratios.

Some of the ratio options are not functional, and I have included those in the map so you can prevent unnecessarily difficult spinning.

  • L1+R1+H1 = too loose
  • L1+R1+H2 = too loose
  • L1+R1+H3 = too loose
  • L1+R2+H1 = too loose
  • L1+R2+H2 = too loose
  • L1+R2+H3 = too loose
  • L1+R3+H1 = 1:6
  • L1+R3+H2 = 1:3.5
  • L1+R3+H3 = 1:2.5

  • L2+R2+H1 = 1:10
  • L2+R2+H2 = 1:6
  • L2+R2+H3 = 1:4.5

  • L3+R1+H1 = not functional
